The Paradox
The Paradox faction uses the Maelstrom against its very creator, seeking ways to harness its chaotic power. They are led by Vanda Darkflame.
Apprentice of the Baron Ian Typhonus, one of the original explorers that went on a journey to find the lost planet of Crux.
The last of the Faction Leaders to be recruited by the Nexus Force, Vanda believes in strength, in the survival of those who do what is right for the world, even if some others don't entirely agree with her points of view. But despite this, she is highly appreciated by fellow Faction Leaders for her abilities and intelligence in combat, even if she gets to be a little stubborn at times.
VANDA DARKFLAME
Daughter of a renowned engineer back in her hometown, Valerie "Vapor" Overcast quickly picked up some of her father's skills at a very young age, and even put them to use on small things at their home.
She is never not cheery and will always take the opportunity to share this happiness with anyone she encounters through friendly jokes and slight sarcasm, even if sometimes people eventually find that annoying to an extent.
An engineering prodigy, Vapor will have much greater things to accomplish in the future.
VAPOR OVERCAST
Doctor William "Wisp" Lee is a descendant of two members of a certain group of people, rumored to have traveled to a monstrous plane and returned far before scientists even considered the possibility. This led Wisp to research more on this event, studying the possibilities, intrigued by the past of his family. Soon enough, he became an expert on fields of metaphysics in his local college.
Eventually, when the first waves of settlement on Crux started, William enlisted on it believing he could find the answers he was looking for. Maybe reveal what truly happened in the life of his ancestors.
WISP LEE
Yuno Niheyo is the descendant of two of the most renowned sorcerers of the Chaotic Faith, worshippers of the Maelstrom.
Yuno used to think she belonged there, but with time, she saw more beyond the beliefs of her faith. It wasn't all about chaos, darkness or freedom. There was something else, something lacking in her life, in that of Crux.
After her parents passed away, she decided to abandon her faction and seek for true enlightenment, the true meaning of her life. Time will tell if she'll be able to find it.
YUNO NIGHTSHADE
One of the few members of the Nexus Force native to Crux, Sutoro is a warrior from the Sacred Tree's order of Shinobi.
It is commonly known that the Nexus grants its followers with mighty abilities, in order to maintain order. Sutoro's "blessing" was that of quickening, dashing through the wind and striking at the speed sound. But perhaps these abilities could be improved.
Changes would not matter to him. It was a necessity, and he would do anything in order to defeat the Maelstrom once and for all. He would become something else, something able to purge shadows to the Void they came from.

A criminal allied with an underground guild of mercenaries across the world, Jhane "Reaper" Laurence became an expert of espionage and tracking time after her parents died during the Bellaran Conflict. Time later, the guild she was part of assigned her with travelling to the newly discovered planet of Crux, in order to gather valuable information. For what? She won't answer.
However, at some point she met a creature of the jungle, wounded, who Jhane saved. The creature followed her and soon became her companion and friend, under the name of "Neil". Soon enough she even started to forget her original purpose there, and then decided to leave her old life behind.
JHANE LAURENCE
Former head of security back in Aurum, Madison Growl is a strong and skilled fighter. No one has been capable of going through her strength successfully, and she doesn't intend to allow it any time soon.
Expert on the handling of heavy artillery, demolitions, enforcement and the piloting of the Space Marauder MK3 suit, some even consider her to be the perfect front-line soldier. Fearing nothing, head-on against the enemy, never looking back. A terrifying woman, on the side of the Nexus Force, fortunately.

Daughter of a family formed of prestigious scientists throughout the world, Annete Liang grew to be no different. An incredibly intelligent researcher, Liang started her career as a biologist, much like the rest of her relatives. At some point, however, she left this behind in order to follow that what intrigued her the most: the universe.
Becoming an expert of the fields of metaphysics, she eventually managed to get into the highly renowned Bradford Rant's Institute of Cosmic Kinesis. Years after, the first waves of settlement on Crux started and B.R.I.C.K. sent Annete to discover more about this new planet as their representative soon after, quickly obtaining a high rank within the team of researchers stationed there.
ANNETE LIANG
Doctor Raymond Echs is one of the greatest minds to have ever walked on Crux. Even despite not being someone truly acknowledged back in Aurum, the contributions of Ray to the rest of the Nexus Force are many, and never are they insignificant.
Cautious, analytical and methodical are a few words to describe this man. He may not step on the battlefield at all, but his research and discoveries always prove to be an invaluable asset in the war against the Maelstrom.
Deeply fascinated by the Maelstrom itself (A bit too much, other members may argue), Raymond believes in harnessing its power far beyond any capabilities chaos has ever had.
